Insulated garage doors prices
There are now so many different types of garage door for you to choose from: roller, retractable, side-hinged, sectional, and up-and-over garage doors. Not only that, but many different suppliers have their own takes on these designs, with individual security, safety and insulation features. If you’re looking for automated garage doors, you can choose from a range of operational devices and remotes. The last, but not least, deciding factor will be the materials, colours and finish you choose for your garage door. Obviously, not all manufacturers will provide all designs in all materials, so when it comes to choosing what your door is made from, Camber can advise you on the best choice and show you what it would look like. When choosing between timber, ABS/UPVC, steel, GRP or another material, here are some factors to consider.
Plastic and ABS/UPVC garage doors
UPVC/ABS garage doors are chosen by people who are looking for a garage door to match their PVC window frames and doors, or who are looking for a low maintenance product. ABS and PVC are both durable garage door materials, which are maintenance free, rot, rust and fade-resistant. They can withstand heavy bangs and knocks, and provide good security. These materials can be sculpted into elegant, joint-free shapes, and customised to suit your location. ABS or PVC garage doors can be automated or manually operated, and they can even be installed with a timber-effect or other finish, to match the other parts of your home.
Timber garage doors
Oak garage doors, hardwood garage doors and cedar garage doors have the most classic look of any material, and they can be treated to make them resistant to rot and reinforced to ensure their durability. Timber side hung garage doors are the classic design for garages that require easy pedestrian access.
Steel garage doors
Steel is classically used in sectional and up-and-over garage doors. Steel garage doors are chosen because they use an excellent value, low maintenance material that can be customised with many different panel styles, window designs, paint colors, and much more. These are excellent doors for security, can be insulated with another material such as polyurethane or polystyrene, and can be supplied with a timber-effect laminate finish.
Aluminium is used in roller garage doors to provide an extra layer of insulation. All different styles of garage doors can be supplied with extra insulation: however, up and over and sectional garage doors can be more fully insulated than the roller and round-the-corner garage doors.
There are many other further possibilities: garage doors with windows (clear or crystal); insulated garage doors with windows, SeceuroGlide roller garage doors, and much besides. To find out which styles and garage door materials are right for you and your budget, and to ask about custom-made garage doors, insulated garage doors, or anything else, we’ll be pleased to hear from you.
