Camber Garage Doors is able to offer four different types of garage doors to its customers. Each type of door offers advantages/disadvantages as described below:

Roller Garage Door
Roller garage doors open vertically into a compact roll above the opening, taking up minimal space in the garage. Opening without an outswing, roller doors are particularly suited to garages situated in areas prone to heavy snow or strong winds, garages with arched openings or with short driveways where a second car can be parked right up to the door without hindering its operation. Roller doors also have improved drive-through height clearance compared to up & over garage doors - ideal if you have a 4x4 or MPV.

Sectional Garage Door
Sectional garage doors open vertically, travelling upwards and back into the garage along overhead tracks. Sectional doors open without an outswing and like roller doors are particularly suited to garages in areas prone to heavy wind or snow. Vertical opening gives all the benefits associated with being able to park right up to the door, inside and out, and maximized drive-through height clearance which is great for 4x4s or MPVs.

Retractable Garage Door
Retractable garage doors have horizontal tracks which are attached to the top of the door frame to guide the door open. Lifting movement is provided by springs located on both sides of the door frame which pull on the lifting arms in a cantilever action. This provides an exceptionally smooth opening and closing action which is ideal for electric operation. When open, the door retracts into the garage leaving only a small protrusion.

Canopy Garage Door
Canopy garage doors have integral vertical side runners along which the door travels, with no horizontal tracks protruding into the garage space. Lifting movement is provided by a spring located along the top of the door which pulls on a spindle on both sides of the door via a drum pulley and cable arrangement.

When open, approximately one-third of the door projects from the garage creating a canopy effect.

Garage Door Composition

With the exception of Roller doors, garage doors come in three (3) different types of material compositions (i.e. Timber, Steel, GRP). Each material provides various advantages and disadvantages. Pick a composition that works for you!
